Self-essay : Virtual Shock

I am nobody. My siblings took great achievements and so, I considered myself as nothing compared to them. But things were about to change and I just knew it would.

I enjoyed facing the computer as much as talking to my small circle of friends. I believe that sometimes I spent more time with the computer rather than conversing with others. This didn’t hinder my growth as an individual. In fact, it helped me uncover the talent, which was waiting to unfold.

It was during the peak of on-line gaming that I stepped into the virtual world. Of course, I had my share of staying up late just because of these games. Along with playing, I met people who were advertising their websites. Curiosity got me and I visited them. I was so enthralled by such art in their web designs that I decided to put up my own site.

I devoted my time in building my website supported by a few insights from my high school computer class. Knowing that these weren’t enough, I searched for other sources to enhance my miniature project. It took some time to establish my site and a good number of advices through chatting before I was able to make my site available.

Then there was this person whom I chatted with who told me that my site was beyond my years. I was, of course, flattered by what he said. I was only beginning in the field of web designing that time and a person who owns an advertising company shockingly noticed me. He told me that I am a potential artist and that I would achieve more than what he did achieve since I’m still young. His words were beyond what I expected.

With this in mind, I believe I will indeed make my own mark in web designing and in other computer related fields.

Looking back, I once thought I was a nobody and now I no longer go along with that thought. I am sure that I was meant to be good at something that my siblings will not have the patience to go through.
