My Parents' Joint Birthday Celebration at Greeka Kouzina (January 2015)

My sister and I decided to celebrate our parents' birthdays at Greek Kouzina, SM Aura instead of Yakimix Prime in Bonifacio Global City. The place felt really comfortable and nice especially with the colorful hanging lights. There were only four customers when we dined in maybe because it’s still too early for dinner.

Colorful hanging lights.

Nice information details about the restaurant.

Let me introduce the birthday celebrants. (Papa - Jan. 7 and Mama - Jan. 12).

To start, we ordered Greeka Kouzina’s best-selling roast lamb. There were lots of lamb entrĂ©es to choose from. Mom had read in advance about this restaurant's menu on some online blogs so she already knew what to try.

Grilled Chicken Souvlaki Salad (Php 510)
Grilled chicken Souvlaki salad was served first and we didn't expect that a serving of this salad would be enough for four persons. (My mom learned online that this was one of the best salads in this restaurant.)
We all like how the salad tasted.

Arni Lemonato (Php 680) and Lamb Shoulder (Php 580)
The Arni Lemonato and Lamb Shoulder were huge. Lamb Shoulder tasted better than the Arni Lemonato.

Lamb Shoulder

I ordered Lamb Gyros because it's relatively cheap although it has lamb meat.

GYROS
Grilled pita wrapped with a bed of mixed greens and arugula, ripened tomatoes, onions and your choice of meat, topped feta cheese and served with yiaourti dip.

Lamb Gyros – Php 290

SEAFOOD

Salmon in Avgolemono sauce – Php 580
Salmon cooked in Greek wine with side of lemon sauce and your choice of siding.
My brother ordered this dish. I didn't quite like though because of the bland taste of the salmon.

Arni Keftedes Pasta

Lamb Ragu

Stuffed Zucchini with Agolemond Sauce

We finally had the desserts which I both liked. Being a person who has a sweet tooth, I liked the desserts more than the main dishes and sidings.

DESSERTS

Baklava – Php 200
Layered phylla with pistachio, walnuts and cashews. Topped with guiltless Greek’s yogurt.

Milopita (Apple Pastry with Ice Cream) – Php 200
Baked phyla stuffed with apples and cinnamon, served with a generous portion of vanilla ice cream.

Our experience in Greek cuisine was quite expensive but worth a try.

So to anyone who wants to have a taste of Greek cuisine, I definitely recommend this restaurant.
